OVERVIEW

Perfume Pagoda, known locally as Chua Huong or ‘inner temple’. It is at the centre of a very revered and sacred site featuring a maze of mainly Buddhist temples built into the limestone cliffs of Huong Tich. At the heart of this complex lies the Perfume Temple or Perfume Pagoda in the Huong Tich Cave. Perfume Pagoda is one of the most important religious sites of Buddhism in Vietnam. The pagoda itself only can be reached by boat or on foot, as there are no roads in the area.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi city tour (L, D)

Pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Take a visit to the relic complex of President Ho Chi Minh, including Presisent Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, the Stilt House and Pool of Uncle Ho, and One-Pillar Pagoda.

Noon: Have lunch in a restaurant in Hanoi.

Afternoon visits to Hanoi highlights: Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam - the first university of Vietnam, Tran Quoc Pagoda, West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. Check into hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi - Perfume Pagoda (B, L, D)

Morning:  Have breakfast. Leave Hanoi for Perfume Pagoda. Upon arrival at Duc Whalf, get aboard for a trip on Yen Stream. Visit and offer incense at Ngu Nhac Temple. The cable car then takes you up to Huong Tich Cave, where lies Huong Tich Pagoda (also Perfume Pagoda). Perfume Pagoda is one of the most important religious sites of Buddhism in Vietnam. The pagoda itself was built into limestone cliffs and only can be reached by boat or on foot, as there are no roads in the area. There is time for you to prepare offerings and pray for happiness, prosperity and good lucke here before having lunch nearby Thien Tru Pagoda.

Afternoon:  Visit Thien Tru Pagoda. Get on boat returning to Duc Whalf.
18:00  Travel back to Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay - overnight on boat (B, L, D)

07:45 - 08:30 Tour guide and shuttle bus of Ha Long Dragon Cruise pick you up then take 3.5 hour drive to Ha Long. Have a break 20 minutes en-route to free your legs.
12:15 Embark Bai Chay harbor, get transferred to Dragon Cruise by a tender and enjoy a welcome drink.
13:00 Receive a cruise briefing. Savor delicious lunch while cruising among wonderful limestone islands.
14:30 Visit Sung Sot “amazing” cave, the most beautiful with millions of surprising stalactites and stalagmites
15:30 Stop at Ti Top Island one hour for swimming, sun-bathing or photographing of Ha Long at island peak.
16:30 Do kayaking among hidden parts and around Bo Nau cave to discover mysterious beauty of Ha Long.
17:30 Drop anchor in a calm water area, rest on the sundeck to enjoy Ha Long views at sunset.
19:00 Have a delectable dinner in cozy restaurant of Dragon Cruise in the middle of the bay.
20:00 Entertain evening by karaoke singing or try your luck doing squid-fishing. Overnight on Ha Long Dragon Cruise.

Day 4: Halong - Hanoi (B, L)

07:30 Enjoy the morning landscape with complimentary tea and coffee served, photograph nice pictures.
 08:00 Experiencing unforgettable memory passing through “tunnel cave” on a bamboo boat to a secluded lake.
 09:30 Check out your cabin. Relax on sundeck for sun-bathing, photo hunting while sailing back to the harbor.
 11:30 Leave Dragon Cruise, have a short rest and take a bus drive to a local restaurant for lunch.
 13:30 Say goodbye to Ha Long Bay then return to Hanoi. Have a rest en-route again to free your legs.
 17:30 Get dropped off at your hotel. Tour ends.
